Date published: Jun 17, 2026, 13:57 PM

Summary

The Faculty Training Program Committee (FTPC) in Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for an Advanced Trainee Representative on the Committee.

Description

The FTPC are seeking EOIs from Stage A or B for PREP or Phase 1 for new curricula Advanced Trainees to join as the Advanced Trainee Representative.

The College recognises that trainees, as future Fellows, play an important role in its training program. Trainees are involved in all aspects of College governance, representing the views of their fellow trainees.

This is a great opportunity to share your perspective as a trainee, as you'll assist with communication between the FTPC and Advanced Trainees.

As an Advanced Trainee Representative, you'll contribute to the training committee's decisions that support individual trainees' progression, while gaining a broader understanding of how those decisions are made throughout the course of training.

Key responsibilities

The roles/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • commitment to regular attendance at meetings of the Committee
  • providing trainee perspectives to the issues of concern
  • representing trainees’ interests
  • advocating on behalf of trainees

For more information regarding the roles and composition of the FTPC, please refer to the Terms of Reference (ToR) (PDF).

Meetings are held 4 times a year with 1 face-to-face meeting, usually held in September.

Members are appointed to the FTPC for a 3-year term and can be renewed for a further term or until the Advanced Trainee becomes eligible for Fellowship.

How to apply

Trainees who are interested are invited to submit the expression of interest form (DOC) and CV to OccEnvMed@racp.edu.au

Please be advised that a summary of your AT will be presented to the Committee.
