The Internal Medicine Journal, published by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Sydney has 32 specialty editors who report to the Editor-in-Chief, Dr Paul Bridgman, FRACP; and an Editorial Ombudsman on the Editorial Board.
Suitable applicants should have a strong publication record in the field of Sexual Health Medicine.
The scope of practice for editor's duties includes
- skill in the art of writing, editing and critical assessment
- timely assessment and selection of appropriate reviewers for submissions
- arbitration of suitability for publication of submissions
- soliciting high profile reviews and timely submissions
- advising on editorial policy considerations
- providing the Editor-in-Chief with annual summary reports
- familiarisation with online peer review programs
- attending the annual IMJ Editorial Board meeting
