Description
The Library, Collections & Cultural Heritage Committee oversees the RACP History of Medicine library collection and cultural heritage resources.
The Committee is seeking to appoint:
- 1 x Aotearoa New Zealand Fellow
- 4 x Fellows
- 1 x Trainee
Responsibilities include:
- explore the relevance of Library and cultural heritage resources for College strategic planning and policy and advocacy priorities
- support the ongoing collection of Library and cultural heritage resources to improve understanding of the College fellowship and the changes that occur over time, significant achievements, works of note that impact medical specialist practice, including the use of newer technology
- address other issues as required
Committee achievements include:
- Friends of the RACP History of Medicine Library (Friends of the Library) initiative
- Collaboration and creation of the ‘Changing Face of the College’ publication
- ‘Beyond these Doors’ virtual College tour
The Committee meets a minimum of 2 times per year via Zoom.
