Description

The purpose of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) Regional Committee is to advise the Faculty Council on matters relevant to the Faculty in their region. This role supports the AFRM training program by providing direction to trainees. The Regional Training Coordinator (RTC) is a member of the AFRM NSW/ACT Regional Committee.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist trainees with queries about their training.
  • Advise (potential) trainees on appropriate training opportunities in the region.
  • Advise potential trainees on entry requirements to the AFRM training program.
  • Formulate and coordinate educational activities for local AFRM trainees.
  • Attend Regional Committee meetings.
  • Assist in ensuring the AFRM Regional Committee works productively and harmoniously.
  • Ensure good governance of the AFRM.
  • Assist in aligning AFRM strategic and business plans with the RACP Strategic Plan.
  • Assist the AFRM Council in identifying and responding to emerging regional issues.
  • Ensure timely responses to requests from the AFRM Council and other AFRM committees.
  • Adhere to RACP policies, including the prevention of discrimination and harassment.
