Description

The Divisional Written Examination Committee convenes the Item Writing Panel, provides strategic development, and drives continuous improvement of the Divisional Written Examination (DWE). The Committee engages in recommending policy and assessment changes to the College Assessment Committee and the Cross College Examination Review Advisory Group. It also reviews the DWE blueprint and provides recommendations to ensure alignment with the Basic Training curricula.

The Advanced Trainee Representative will provide strategic input, advice, and recommendations to the Committee and contribute to ongoing quality improvements in assessment processes.

The Advanced Trainee Representative plays a vital role in advocating for and representing the interests of trainees to the Committee, contributing insights and perspectives to help inform decisions around assessment design, policy, and candidate support.

Applicants should be prepared to attend up to 4 meetings per year, including 1 face-to-face meeting in Sydney.

Applications are welcomed from Paediatric & Child Health Advanced Trainees from across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia, including regional and remote locations, from all specialties, and with a variety of workforce experience.

This role is only open to Advanced Trainees of the College.

This position is appointed for an initial term of 3 years, with the opportunity for renewal, while the individual is an Advanced Trainee of the College.
