The RACP is seeking expressions of interest from Fellows to represent the College on the National Digital Medicines Advisory Group (NDMAG).

Description

NDMAG brings together representatives from across the medicines management ecosystem to provide advice on national digital medicines initiatives and digital health capabilities that support safe, effective and efficient healthcare in Australia. The group helps ensure digital medicines programs align with national policies, strategies and emerging evidence while promoting innovation and medicines safety.

The NDMAG meets quarterly and provides a forum for collaboration between government, clinical, consumer and industry stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

The RACP representative will:

  • represent the views and interests of the RACP and its members

  • provide strategic advice on national digital medicines initiatives, priorities, risks and outcomes

  • review and provide input on program priorities, stakeholder engagement activities and relevant standards

  • consider the impact of digital medicines initiatives on patients, clinicians and the health system

  • share key NDMAG discussions and decisions with relevant RACP committees and stakeholders

  • manage conflicts of interest and maintain confidentiality where required

Applicants should have experience or expertise in digital health, medicines management, medication safety, clinical informatics or a related field, and the ability to represent a broad physician perspective.
