The Training Program Committee (TPC) – Occupational & Environmental Medicine oversees regional processes for recruitment, training, career development and support of occupational and environmental medicine trainees.
This is a great opportunity for Fellows who are willing to support current Occupational and Environmental Medicine Advanced Trainees and the training program.
In this role, you'll help shape the physicians of the future and positively contribute to the direction, workforce and culture of Occupational and Environmental Medicine in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead TPC meetings
- Represent the Faculty Training Program Committee when reporting to the Training Program Management Committee (TPMC)
- Develop and improve training program curriculum including making recommendations to the TPMC for moderate and major changes
- Accredit Advanced Training sites or programs in Occupational and Environmental Medicine
- Assess recognition of prior learning
- Advise on matters relating to Overseas Trained Physicians, as requested
- Modify individual training requirements, as appropriate, in accordance with College policies and procedures
- Monitor risks and issues within the training program and escalate these to the TPMC
New members are appointed for a 3-year term, with the option to renew for a further term.
