The Training Program Committee in Sexual Health Medicine (the Committee) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from Sexual Health Medicine Fellows to join the Committee as an Appointed Member.

Description

One of the main roles of the Committee is to monitor and assess individual trainee progress in Sexual Health Medicine across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

There is currently 1 Fellow position vacant on the Committee. In this role, you'll help shape the physicians of the future and positively contribute to the direction, workforce and culture of Program Name across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Committee typically meets 4 times each year, with 1 face-to-face meeting in Sydney. Members are appointed to the Committee for an initial 3-year term which can be renewed once for a further and final 3-year term.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitoring and reviewing training program requirements and curricula in consultation with relevant stakeholders and recommending changes to the Training Committee.

  • Monitor and assess individual trainee progress in Sexual Health Medicine, including assessing various types of applications such as training applications and applications for Recognition of Prior Learning.

  • Modify training requirements for individual trainees as appropriate, in accordance with college policies and procedures.

  • Review of Advanced Training Research Projects and Logbooks.

  • Review of Advanced Training settings in Sexual Health Medicine, including conducting site accreditation visits and reviewing site accreditation applications.
