The meaning and outcomes of effective physician resilience

Vicarious stress in medicine

  • Strategies to respond to the impact of vicarious stress, including experiential immersion and training with tools such as mindfulness.

Understanding ‘burnout’ in healthcare

  • How to identify the elements of burnout, whether in ourselves or our teams.
  • Personalising the approach to physician burnout and utilisation of the most effective evidence-based approaches to address it.

  • Strategies which enable valued coaching conversations to occur for both ourselves and our colleagues. This continues the conversation regarding physician resilience beyond the training day.
