Reset and reclaim your energy. Master stress. Thrive in medicine.

3 nights | 4 days | Small-group intimate experience

A unique retreat created specifically for doctors

From the moment you graduate, medicine demands a lot—high performance, relentless responsibility, difficult decisions and resilience under pressure.

Long hours. Heavy workloads. High-stakes decisions. Emotional encounters. Constant expectations to perform at your best.

And then there’s life beyond medicine. Family. Relationships. Health. Finances. The need to rest, reconnect and simply be you.

The challenge isn’t just being a great doctor. It’s finding a way to thrive as a doctor—and as a human being.

RIZE is a unique 3-night, 4-day small-group retreat created specifically for doctors at every stage of their career — from those navigating the early years of medicine and specialty training, through to experienced consultants and clinical leaders.

The retreat is led by Dr Sue Abhary, the Chief Wellbeing Officer of Rezilliance – The Resilience Alliance, a Medical Specialist, healthcare executive, researcher and integrative holistic practitioner, who brings together medical expertise, wellbeing science and holistic mind-body practices.

Partnering with leading experts, the retreat offers a carefully curated and unique program designed around the real-world pressures of medical practice and the challenge of maintaining wellbeing while pursuing a high-performance career.

This is not simply a retreat. It's an opportunity to step away from medicine. Invest in yourself. Reconnect with what matters. Return with renewed clarity, resilience and capacity to thrive.

What you'll explore

Across 4 immersive days, you will develop practical strategies to:

  • Master stress — understand your stress response and learn practical techniques to regulate the mind and nervous system.
  • Recognise and prevent burnout — identify early warning signs and develop strategies to protect your wellbeing before burnout takes hold.
  • Perform at your best under pressure, without depletion — effectively undertake exams, calmly lead resuscitations and perform surgery, and confidently deliver talks and lectures.
  • Navigate difficult conversations — develop skills for conflict resolution, communication and managing challenging professional relationships.
  • Process grief and trauma — explore the impact of cumulative emotional exposure in medicine and develop healthy ways to navigate difficult experiences.
  • Challenge limiting beliefs — identify deeply embedded beliefs and patterns that can influence how you think, perform and respond under pressure.
  • Reconnect with yourself — use meditation, breathwork, mindfulness and other mind-body practices to cultivate greater self-awareness and emotional regulation.
  • Digital detox and reset — create space away from the constant demands of technology, notifications and information overload.
  • Balance medicine with life — explore practical strategies for maintaining relationships, personal wellbeing and a meaningful life alongside the demands of a medical career.
  • Build resilience for the long term — develop practical tools that can be integrated into your professional and personal life well beyond the retreat.
