Location:

Host:
The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP)

The COVID-19 pandemic has made, and continues to make, a seismic shift in the wellbeing of physicians worldwide.

This free webinar will be presented by Dr Michael Myers — an international expert in doctors’ health and wellbeing and Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in New York.

Dr Myers will discuss the myriad ways in which we have been impacted by the virus and pose the questions:

  • Are burnout rates in physicians going up?
  • What about anxiety and depression? Substance use disorders? PTSD? Suicide?
  • How do we keep our wits about us and take care of our patients, as we continue to learn about the terrifying long-range effects of this virus?

He will also talk about the novel, individual and systemic solutions that are slaying the dragon that is COVID-19.
