Physician Health and Effective Leadership
20 Aug 2019 at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
RACP Events Centre, Level 19, Governor Macquarie Tower, 1 Farrar Place, Sydney NSW
Being a physician is an often demanding and stressful occupation but also extremely rewarding. Physicians are usually so concentrated on patient health that they can forget to take care of themselves. Stress is an underlying issue within the health sector and can often lead to the deterioration of physician wellbeing.
Health Benefits of Good Work is an initiative from the Australian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM).
The initiative is based on compelling Australasian and international evidence that good work is beneficial to people’s health and wellbeing and that long-term work absence, work disability and unemployment generally have a negative impact on health and wellbeing.
Join us as Dr Warren Harrex, Chair of the AFOEM Policy and Advocacy Committee presents on stress in the health workforce and the health of doctors.
In this two part event, Warren will also speak on effective leadership and management in the health sector as well as team building skills.
RSVPs are essential and close Monday 5 August 2019.
