Advanced Resuscitation Training
Advanced Life Support (ALS) Training is a level 1 course focused on the recognition, assessment and immediate management of the deteriorating patient.
It provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills of:
- how to use a structured ABCDE approach
- airway management skills
- basic life support
- defibrillation skills (manual and/or AED modes)
- cardiac arrest management using the ARC ALS algorithm
- work as an effective team member in a cardiac arrest
There will be continuous assessment of resuscitation skills throughout the day. Assessment criteria and pre-course materials are sent after registration.
