Diagnostic Error Qstream course

19 Apr 2018 at 12:00 AM to 21 Apr 2018 at 12:00 AM

Diagnosis is one of the most difficult cognitive tasks in medicine and the first step in informing clinical management decisions. The case studies in the Diagnostic Error Qstream course aim to:

  • enhance understanding of decision making during diagnosis in complex clinical environments
  • increase understanding of potential system and cognitive factors that can impact accurate diagnostic decision
  • facilitate the learning of methods to identify, learn from and reduce diagnostic errors in clinical practice.

The course includes 14 case studies (questions) that each take five minutes to complete. Questions are sent by email, spaced two days apart. The total duration of the course will depend on your own pace.

Places in the course are limited. You can register for the Diagnostic Error course online. Registrations close on Wednesday 18 April 2018.
