Support for Rural Specialists in Australia

Grants worth up to $10,000 are available for eligible medical specialists living and working in rural and remote Australia as part of the Support for Rural Specialists in Australia (SRSA) program.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities can be undertaken with grant funding to support registration fees, travel, accommodation and meals.

Key dates for funding round five:

  • Application window: 1 October 2019 to 31 January 2020
  • Assessment panel review: February 2020
  • Outcome letters distributed via email: March 2020
  • CPD activity completion window: 1 April 2020 to 30 April 2021

The SRSA Program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and managed by the Council of Presidents of Medical Colleges.
