2025 Māori Trainee Wānanga

The Hauora Māori team will host the Māori Trainee Wānanga for Māori trainees in the Te Whanganui a Tara | Wellington on 14 – 15 August 2025.

This wānanga is dedicated to fostering whakawhānaungatanga within the Māori membership and nurturing tuakana teina relationships among trainees and Fellows.

Our program is designed to empower you with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to excel on your journey in medicine and encompasses a focus on:

• Embracing connections: Engage in meaningful discussions and activities that cultivate whakawhanaungatanga within our community of Māori trainees.
• Strengthening relationships: Explore the concept of tuakana teina relationships, where seasoned mentors (tuakana) guide and support their junior counterparts (teina) through the challenges and triumphs of training.
• Thriving in training: Gain valuable insights and practical strategies for navigating the demands of your chosen training pathway.

This is a free event, and registration is essential.
