TMP update: improvements delivered and roadmap ahead
Date published:
09 Apr 2026
We're pleased to share an update on the Training Management Platform (TMP) following 2 major enhancement releases delivered in December 2025 and February 2026. These releases responded directly to member and staff feedback, delivering improvements such as simpler assessment tools, streamlined workflows and automations, and expanded supervisor editing permissions.
With the successful February release now complete, TMP has formally transitioned into a business-as-usual continuous improvement model.
TMP continuous improvement delivery
Led by a dedicated cross-College team, the key focus areas include:
- product strategy and vision
- development and release delivery
- technical support and issue resolution
- user enablement and adoption
TMP Product Roadmap and backlog
Valuable feedback received from members and staff since the go-live is currently being reviewed and translated into a prioritised product roadmap. Once prioritisation is complete, the TMP Product Roadmap will be published, outlining planned enhancements with indicative timeframes.
Member feedback captured through forums and meetings will continue to be channelled to the TMP Continuous Improvement team for assessment and prioritisation.
TMP continuous improvement delivery will operate alongside Project TRELLIS (the overarching College IT transformation project) initiatives and remains coordinated with other strategic organisational deliverables.
Development delivery model
We're adopting an iterative development cycle with quarterly releases which will enable:
- incremental delivery of value
- regular feedback loops
- responsive updates as needs evolve
Cycle 1 will run from March to May 2026, with 3 further cycles planned through late 2026 and early 2027. The focus of Cycle 1 is enhancements to Progress Reports navigation and Quick Create for certain assessments.
TMP updates will continue to be shared through college communication and committee channels.
Whilst there is still important work ahead to continue improving the user experience, we now have a strong and stable foundation on which to build, as we enter this next phase of enhancement and continuous improvement.
