Statement on human rights and medical care in the Middle East

The RACP expresses sorrow over the loss of lives and suffering on all sides of conflict and calls for the human rights of civilians to be respected.
We also stand in solidarity with healthcare workers affected by conflict.
We call on all parties in conflict to ensure medical care is available to those who need it. Patients, healthcare workers, and health facilities and supplies must be protected to ensure people can receive treatment.
This is a very hard time for many members and their families, colleagues, and friends around the world. We encourage members to support each other and seek additional assistance if needed.
