Haematology is an integrated discipline incorporating clinical and laboratory aspects of diseases of the blood and blood-forming organs.

Clinical Haematology Advanced Training Program

  • Requires 36 months (three years) of full time equivalent training at an accredited training site
  • Includes work-based learning and assessment requirements 
  • Successful trainees attain the qualification of Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with accreditation to practise as clinical haematologists in Australia or New Zealand

How do I apply ​for Advanced Training in Clinical Haematology?

New trainees need to ensure they meet the entry requirements in the ​Clinical Haematology 2017-18 Handbook to apply to start Advanced Training.

New and current trainees need to apply for Advanced Training each year.

Australian Trainees: Apply online for Advanced Training or where online registration is not available please download, complete and submit the application form to apply for Advanced Training in Clinical Haematology (.doc 835KB)
